Abstract

Cores; dampers on cores.-The invention of the parent Specification is modified by constructing end-plates of two concentric annular portions 3, 4, the inner portion 3 being provided with integral fingers or teeth for the reception of the stator conductors 2, and either with or without an inner bridging ring 5 integral with the fingers, the whole inner portion being constructed of non- magnetic material as specified in the parent Specification, whilst the outer annular portion 4 is constructed of material having unspecified magnetic properties, for example, cast iron of the relatively non-magnetic kind. The inner and outer portions may be rabbeted together, and the inner portion may be laminated, Fig. 6. Known finger-plates 14 may be provided. The inner portions may extend across the whole radius of the core laminae, and the outer portion may be extended to cover the inner portion, as at 13.
