Cores; armatures and field magnets, cooling.- The core laminations of the rotor or stator of a dynamo are furnished with a number of projections to increase the cooling-surface. Fig. 3 shows the invention as applied to a rotor. It is built up of a number of sector-shaped laminations 8 arranged as shown so as to break joint. Each lamina is formed with three projections on its inner edge. Two of these projections, 11, are arranged symmetrically and are pierced with holes for the connecting bolts. The other, 12, is formed near one end of the lamina, so that the corresponding projection of the next lamina appears at 13. The third lamina is placed with the other face upwards, so that its asymmetric projection appears at 15 and that of the fourth at 14 and so on.
