Coils and conductors.-To check eddy-currents in the portions of the windings of an alternating- current machine projecting from the stator slots, they are divided into two or more portions by radial cuts B and the portions of different conductors thus formed are connected by conductors d<1>, d<2> so that the eddy-currents generated in the different conductors oppose each other. The conductors d<1>, d<2> are separated by insulation g and may be side by side, or may, as shown, cross each other at an even number of points k<1>, k<2>.
