Feb. 12, 1931, No. 4448. Convention date, Feb. 18, 1930. [Class 35.] The end-windings of a high-speed generator are made of some material, e.g. aluminium, of lower specific gravity than the portions of the windings in the slots to diminish centrifugal stresses. The junction of the two metals may be secured in a groove in the iron. The endwindings may be of greater cross section than the portions in the grooves.
