Armatures and field magnets, cooling.-In a modification of the invention of the parent Specification, in which cooling air is directed through the stator end windings by means of radial and circumferential diverters, the diverters e, d are arranged between the end windings b and the body c of the stator casing. An additional section of circumferential diverter d<1> may be placed between the end shield and the winding to redirect air through the lower portion of the end windings.
