Abstract
604,663. Universal couplings. TRIGGS, W. W. (Schweizerische Lokomotiv-und Maschinenfabrik). May 4, 1944, No. 32285/46. Divided out of 583,051. [Class 80 (ii)] An articulated coupling for the individuallydriven axles of rail or other vehicles comprises an annular member 38 pivotally mounted and accommodated within the driving gear 35 by radial and diametrically opposite pins 37, and having axially-extending arms 6 engaging radial pins 41 on a member 42 secured to the axle 1 of the driving wheels 2. The arms 6 are slotted at 39 and co-operate with bearing blocks 40 on the pins 41 to allow of relative axial and radial movement between the coupling parts. In a modification the arms 6 engage in slots in the member 42.
