[Class 35] The inter-turn insulation of a multi-turn coil is not uniform but comprises a material of sufficient mechanical strength to maintain the spacing provided with a multiplicity of paths therethrough of lower insulating quality. Suitable materials are perforated mica, woven fibre glass or woven asbestos.
