Transformers.-A transformer for cooking or heating apparatus has a removable yoke which is located in a secondary forming part of the heating-apparatus, the yoke being arranged so as to be securely fastened to the core. In the arrangement shown in Fig. 1, a laminated yoke 2 is placed in a channel 9, the wall 10 of which forms part of a cooking-vessel 3. One pole of the laminated core 1 is notched, and the other carries a pin 6 engaging with a slot in a clamping-lever 4 pivoted to the yoke.
