Abstract
468,150. Electric cooking - plates. BECK, H. May 19, 1936, No. 14184. [Class 39 (iii)] [Also in Group XVII] A cooking-plate is provided at the periphery with an annular electromagnetic winding b for producing a field to hold a vessel against the plate. The winding may be arranged in a recess in an iron hot plate or may be arranged in an iron ring with an internal web or flange for supporting the hot plate. A closed secondary winding j of one or two turns may be provided to prevent chattering. The iron cooking vessel f may have an annular iron mass f<1> concentrated at the periphery of its bottom. In Fig. 5, three windings o arranged in concentric annular recesses in an iron plate a with an iron closure plate n form heating and electromagnetic windings.
