Abstract

437,423. Electric induction heaters. ERICHSEN, B., 140, Gl. Kongevej, Copenhagen. April 8, 1935, No. 10888. [Class 39 (iii)] In an induction heater comprising a hot plate 8, the transformer core 4 of double E-shape is provided with a primary coil 5 on its central part. The secondary circuit is constituted by copper straps 6, the upper ends of which are secured to the periphery of the plate 8 by means of pairs of lugs 9<a>, 9<b>, 9<c>, 9<d>, on the underside of the plate as shown in the inverted plan, Fig. 2. Transverse ribs 10 may also be provided, and the plate may be thickened at its edge, to obtain a uniform distribution of current in the plate. An additional secondary circuit 13 may be connected to indicating glow wires in a recess 15.
