[Class 39 (iii)] A combined hot-plate and griller with apertures in the plate has ribs surrounding the apertures projecting downwards to shield the elements from drips passing through the apertures. In the form shown, intermediate supports 7 for the elements 3 are located by the ends of ribs 1<a> surrounding the apertures 2, and these supports, together with the elements and the end supports are retained in the dished plate 1 by a wire net disposed beneath the elements. A terminal block 4 is secured to an extension 1<c> of the plate 1.
