[Class 39 (iii).] In an electric heating element for a boiling ring &c., consisting of a wire resistance packed in a refractory insulating material in a sheet-metal casing the casing consists of two portions of channel section one of which is inverted over the other and extended downwardly to form drip edges. As shown the upper channel portion is bent inwards at a<1> to grip the lower and continues as the drip edge a<2>.
