Abstract
449,733. Electric hot-plates. BRITISH THOMSON - HOUSTON CO., Ltd., Crown House, Aldwych, London. Oct. 9, 1935, No. 27872. Convention date, Oct. 11, 1934. [Class 39 (iii)] To ensure air circulation round a hotplate of the type comprising a cast iron plate with a resistance in grooves in its lower surface the upper surface of the plate is unbroken except for a central opening 2, and around the periphery are a number of lugs 4 whereby the plate is supported in a ring 3 leaving a number of air passages 11 between the plate and the ring. The terminals 7 are carried on an insulating block 8 secured to the underside of the plate so as to clear the opening 2.
