[Classes 83 (i) and 83 (ii)] [See also Groups XI, VI, and XVII] Moulds.-Armatures 7 of magnetic material are cast in position in a base extension of a cooking vessel to close a magnetic circuit formed by laminations 24 housing a primary coil 40, the metal around the armatures forming the secondary heating circuit. The armatures, Fig. 4, consist of metal strips folded along the edges 12 and wound to spiral form and then flattened in a die. They are cast in position between separators 8 of insulating material, Fig. 3. Supporting pads 9 of magnetic or non-magnetic material are cast in the extension. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 states that in casting the utensil 3 the armatures 7 and the separating insulators are arranged in a groove in a hard baked sand core 96, Fig. 9 (Cancelled), the inclinations of sides of the groove corresponding exactly with that of the armatures so that little adhesive is required to hold them in place. Slots in the groove receive the insulators. Risers 99 are arranged over each armature. This subjectmatter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
