Abstract

598,492. Inking-apparatus. T.I.M. (TICKETISSUE MACHINES), Ltd., and FORD, H. F. Sept. 20, 1945, No. 24388. [Class 100 (ii)] In inking-apparatus for a ticket printing and issuing machine, comprising an inking-roller 5 and a spreader roller 9 mounted adjacent a rotary printing-roller 6, the rollers 5 and 9 are carried in two frame plates 1 each independently pivoted at one end to a fixed part 2 of the machine and yieldably connected at its opposite end by a spring 3 to another part 4 of the machine framework to cause the inking- roller to be self-aligning with relation to the type on the roller 6. Each roller 5 is mounted in bearings 11 which ride in slots 12 in the plates 1. The bearings 11 are drawn towards the inner ends of the slots 12 by slotted plates 17 engaging over the spindle of the roller 5 and connected by springs 18 to lugs 19 on the plates 1. Hooked arms 14 pivoted at 15 and held in operative position by screws 16 close the slots 12.
