Abstract

273,405. Molins, W. E. April 1, 1926. Inking-apparatus.-In an intaglio printing-machine, the taking-apparatus consists of a duct 3 from which ink is fed directly to the engraved printing-roller 2 by a rotatable roller 4 spaced apart from the printing-roller and adapted to be driven simultaneously therewith. The roller 4 is provided with bevelled end flanges 5 adjustable on the spindle 6. The flanges engage the ends of the roller 2 in order to enable the spacing between the rollers 2, 4 to be varied and two serve as a friction drive for the roller 4. The roller 4 is carried in bearings 8 on a frame which is under the influence of a spring tending to hold the rollers 2, 4 in contact. Specification 190,202 is referred to.
