376,554. Feeding sheets. MASCHINENFABRIK AUGSBURG-NœRNBERG AKT.- GES., 7, Stadtbachstrasse, Augsburg, Germany. Sept. 23, 1931, No. 26593. Convention date, Sept. 29, 1930. [Class 100 (i).] Sheet - registering devices.- Sheets are registered while travelling over a feed table 1 bv means of one or more discs 3 which are let into the table 1 and formed with surfaces which are flush with the table. The sheets are pressed against the discs by means of oscillating feelers or fingers 6 formed at their ends with rollers 7, and the discs move the sheets in a diagonal direction indicated by the arrow 8, to register the sheets against front stops 10, and side stops 9. The rates of the speed of rotation of the discs relatively to the forward velocity of the sheets can be varied, and in order to register sheets printed on one side while being moved to receive a perfected impression, the direction of rotation of the discs can be varied so as to use the same edges for registration in each case. Two discs rotating in opposite directions may be used when two half sheets are being advanced simultaneously.
