716,076. Printing-machines. MASCHINENFABRIK AUGSBURG-NURNBERG AKT.- GES. July 10, 1952 [July 20, 1951], No. 17419/52. Class 100 (2) Multicolour rotary offset machines; drying arrangements.-In a multicolour rotary offset webprinting machine two offset cylinders 6, 7 are arranged to operate on a large common impression cylinder 5, drying devices 10, 11 being situated on the free periphery of the impression cylinder after each offset cylinder to dry the ink printed thereby and to prevent smudging or running. In the form shown the web 2 is taken to a second impression cylinder 13 for perfecting by offset cylinders 14, 15, driers 18, 19, being disposed between these cylinders as before. The offset cylinders co-operate with plate cylinders, e.g. 8, 9 provided with inking and damping cylinders as shown.
