Abstract

1468901 Printing machines MASCHINENFABRIK AUGSBURG-NURNBERG AG 10 May 1974 [11 May 1973] 20881/74 Heading B6C A rotary offset perfecting press has two coacting blanket cylinders 2, 3, each being supplied with a plurality of colours, one from each forme cylinder 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8, 9, 10, 11. Each forme cylinder has an inking and a damping system, and the diameters of the blanket cylinders are equal. The printed web is then transferred to dryer 19 without contact of the surfaces thereof with any other surface. The blanket cylinders are preferably arranged as shown so that the web partially wraps the cylinders. In a modification (Figs. 2 and 3, not shown), two colours only are printed on each side at each of two stations, and, by altering the web run, twocolour perfecting or four-colour perfecting may be achieved.
