Abstract

A concentrated liquid fertilizer comprises 1.0 to 1.7 parts by weight of calcium nitrate calculated as the anhydrous salt, 1 part by weight of ammonium nitrate, and water in a quantity just sufficient to keep the salts in solution at 0 DEG C. According to an example, the fertilizer comprises 34 parts of ammonium nitrate, 66 parts of calcium nitrate, tetrahydrate and an additional 5 per cent of water. Similar compositions may be prepared by evaporating dilute aqueous solutions of these salts in the appropriate proportions. Specification 427,526 is referred to.
