Abstract

231,018. Garbin, G., and Toniolo, S. April 24, 1924. Manures.-A fertilizer is prepared from natural phosphates reduced to the colloidal form and ammonium nitrate or urea or both of these substances, the ingredients being in such proportions that the product contains, from 10 to 25 per cent both of nitrogen and phosphoric anhydride. The ingredients may be mixed dry, or an aqueous solution of the nitrogen compound may be mixed with a suspension of the colloidal phosphate, or the nitrogen compound may be dissolved in a suspension of the colloidal phosphate, or dry colloidal phosphate may be added to a solution of the nitrogen compound. Other substances such as potassium salts and gypsum may be added.
