Abstract

596,556. Transformers. ENGLISH ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., and CHADWICK, A. T. July 30, 1945, No. 19515. [Class 38 (ii)] A three - phase magnetic core comprises two similar coils 1, 1, each formed by winding strip material and each having a straight side cut longitudinally to halve its thickness, the two cut sides being placed together at 2 to form a core with three similar limbs. The turns may be bonded by material such as synthetic resin applied before or after winding, and cuts 3 are made to insert the windings.
