Abstract

1,062,486. Transformers and inductors. LICENTIA PATENT - VERWALTUNGS G.m.b.H. June 10, 1964 [June 12, 1963], No. 24077/64. Heading HIT. The butt joints between the grain-oriented strips forming a three-phase magnetic core are formed by cutting the ends of the strips at one or other of two different angles, the joints in adjacent laminations being arranged at different angles to join triangular overlapping regions b as shown in Fig. 3. The lamination tips need not be cut off as in Fig. 3. If the yokes are made of layers of single steps, the triangular overlapping areas shown at the ends of the centre limb may be obtained by cutting a triangular recess in each yoke lamination. Each lamination may be formed of two strips arranged side by side.
