831,171. Transformers and inductors. ALLMANNA SVENSKA ELEKTRISKA A.B. Nov. 26, 1957 [Nov. 29, 1956], No. 36778/57. Class 38 (2). In a laminated magnetic core in which straight laminations form legs and yokes, every leg lamination forms a triangular overlap joint with at least one yoke lamination and each yoke lamination forms a triangular overlap joint with at least one leg lamination. As shown, lap joints exist between laminations 1 and 2 and between laminations 3 and 4, the arrangement being such that after assembly laminations 1 and 4 lie in the same layer and all in butt-joint relationship. The abutting edges of such laminations may have a wave toothed or curved outline. Various arrangements of laminations are disclosed (Figs. 7, 8 and 9, not shown).
