Abstract

587,743. Lawn-mowers. WEBB & CO., Ltd., H. C., and TAYLOR, F. W. Jan. 13, 1945, No. 1098. [Class 6 (ii)] [Also in Group XXXI] A motor mower from which the power unit may be easily removed and attached to another like garden implement comprises a chassis with side plates 1, a rear roller 3 connected to a cutting cylinder 7 through a gear train, the cutting cylinder being adjustable vertically in relation to the knife 5 by a screw 9. The front roller 4 is also adjustable. The handles 25 are adjustable about a pivot 18 and carry the throttle and clutch levers. The power unit, mounted between side plates 16 seats on the implement chassis and is provided with a power take-off shaft 26 and clutch 27 and transmits its power through a chain 31 and sprockets 30 and 32.
