587,240. Steam boiler plant. ROLL AKT.-GES. FUR KOMMUNALE ANLAGEN, L. VON. July 1, 1944, No. 12574. Convention date, July 2, 1943. Addition to 581,426. [Class 51 (i)] [Also in Group XIII] In apparatus according to the parent Specification the central outlet pipe 6 of the separator 1 delivers the hot gases directly to a vertical smoke-tube boiler 8. In the form shown in Fig. 1 the wall ,of the separator is lined with vertical water tubes 11 connected to external headers 12, 13, the former receiving water through a pipe 14 from the lower part of the boiler 8 while the latter is connected by a pipe 15 to the steam space of the boiler. Fig. 3 shows a modification in which the vertical tubes 11 are replaced by a coil which is supplied by a pump 17 with water drawn through a pipe 18 from the lower part of the boiler and has a connection 19 to the steam space; in this form the separator outlet pipe 6 is lined with a steam superheating coil 20 connected to the steam space of the boiler by a pipe 21 and having a steam offtake pipe 22.
