Abstract
1486712 Steam generation;. combustion apparatus; burning waste wood FOSTER WHEELER ENERGY CORP 21 March 1975 [22 March 1974] 12007/75 Headings F4A and F4B In a steam generation system a primary boiler 10 includes water tubes 16, headers 18 and a pipe line 26 in the fluid circuit, the steam generated in the primary boiler 10 being collected and separated in a collector drum 20, a secondary boiler 30 is provided with a fluidized bed 52 to burn particulate material and act as a feedwater heater or economizer to the primary boiler 10, the collector drum 20 being connected by additional water tubes 34 62 and line 64. Hot gases from the fluidized bed 52 pass upwardly through the secondary boiler 30 and outwardly into a duct 54 leading to the primary boiler 10. These hot gases combine with the hot gases produced by burning woodbark refuse fuel in the furnace of the primary boiler 10. Solid particles leaving the primary boiler are separated in a dust collector 82 and fed via connections 88, 90 to the fluidized bed 52 in the secondary boiler 30.
