Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a boiler comprising a starter cell, generating tube cell and superheater tube cell arranged in multiple stages, which is capable of treating EP ash with ease, by employing such an arrangement that EP ash captured in an exhaust passage of the generating tube cell and superheater tube cell is incinerated in the starter cell.
CONSTITUTION: In a multi-stage fluidizied boiler shown in te drawing, exhaust combustion gas produced in a generating tube cell B and a superheater tube cell C exchanges heat with boiler feed water in an economizer 21 provided in a main exhasut gas passage 20, and after heating combusting air in an air preheaer 22 at the next stage, is carried to a cyclone dust collector 23 and an electric dust collector 24 successively. EP ash contained in the exhaust gas is captured in these dust collectors 23, 24. Here, the EP ash and other combustible matter captured particularly the cyclone dust collector 23 is combusted in the starter cell A by feeding the same to the cell A via a feed pipe 25. Further, exhaust gas discharged from the starter cell A is carried via a subsidary exhaust gas passage 26 directly into the electric dust collector 24 for removing dust therein.
