Abstract

The incinerator has a hearth (F) which accepts combustibles having a high calorific value. The hearth is mounted on a slope to allow ashes to fall to the ash pit. The combustion air is fed under the hearth. Products of low calorific value are incinerated in the secondary combustion chamber. The combustion chamber is fitted with water tubes (T). The flue gases pass into a superheater, and evaporator andeconomiser (SEV), before passing into a dust separator (D). The water is treated in the plant (TE) before being supplied to the boiler for driving the turbine (TB) fitted with a condenser (CN).
