[Class 80 (ii) ] In bevel epicyclic reversing gear of the kind in which, for forward drive, the gear is clutched solid by a clutch (not shown) and, for reverse has its planet-carrier 20a held by a band-brake 22, the planets 14 are supported in a ring 15 secured in a groove in the two halves 20a, 20b of a split casing, which is journalled on both the driving and driven shafts 10. 11.
