Abstract

582,626. High - frequency discharge apparatus. PEARCE, A. F. June 11, 1943, No. 9483. [Class 39 (i)] A hollow electrical resonator having elon. gated apertures 11 and resonant at a predetermined frequency, has its ends closed by portions of resonator 13 and 14 which together would form a resonator having the same frequency as the original resonator. This results in rendering the alternating potential along the gap more nearly constant than would otherwise be the case. The junction between the ends and the main resonator body may be made through a short incline instead of the abrupt change shown. Specification 574,512 is referred to.
