Abstract

617,994. Electric resonators. MILLER, C. W., and METROPOLITAN - VICKERS ELECTRICAL CO., Ltd. Aug. 15, 1946, No. 24308. [Class 40 (viii)] A cylindrical resonator 2 is dimensioned (assuming perfect circularity) to support propagation only of H11 modes and, at a point other than a node of the electric vector, is provided with a diametrically located conductor 8 to eliminate unwanted elliptical modes due to unavoidable distortion of the cylinder. The resonator is provided with a tuning piston 5 and is intended for use as a wave meter.
