572,344. Wire bunching or twisting machines. HANSON & EDWARDS, Ltd., and HINDS, R. Nov. 9, 1943, No. 18610. [Class 120 (ii)] [Also in Group XXV] In a wire bunching or twisting machine comprising outer and inner rotors for imparting four twists per revolution the cradle g carrying the bobbin a, lay wheel d and associated parts is counter-weighted at h to prevent its rotation. The outer rotor p, q, r, is driven by the pulley u and the inner rotor k, m revolves in bearings o at the same speed but in the opposite direction, the wires 2 passing as shown over the pulleys 3, 4, 5, 6 on the outer rotor and the pulleys 7, 8, 9, 10 on the inner rotor into the cradle g and over the pulleys c, d, e, f and through the traverse guide b to the bobbin a. The inner rotor is driven through a shaft x journalled in the outer rotor and provided with gear wheels w, y meshing respectively with a fixed gear wheel v and a gear wheel z on one of the trunnions n of the inner rotor.
