[Class 139] In a spring clockwork mechanism which is wound by a motor through a reducing train, a freewheel coupling, operative in reverse motion, is fitted in the train whereby when the winding motion is completed and the drum moves backwards till suddenly stopped by the retaining pawl, the shock of the sudden stop is not transmitted to the train and motor. As shown, the motor 6 winds the drlun 5 through a train including a spindle 9 on which a gear 15 is loosely mounted, being fitted with a pin 19 engaging a shoulder on a disc 17 fixed to the shaft. By these means the sudden stoppage of the slight backward motion of the drum 5 at the end of the winding operation, caused by the engagement of the pawl 13 with the ratchet 12 does not transmit shock to the train 7, 8 and motor 6.
