Abstract
814,535. Watches. EPPLE O. [trading as OTERO-UHRENROHWERKE O., EPPLE K.G.]. Jan. 26, 1956 [Oct. 11, 1955] No. 2590/56.Class 139 In a watch self winding mechanism the rotor 7, Fig. 2, is attached by three screws. 8 to the flange of a shaft 6 which is 'mounted by bearings 4, 5 in a sleeve 3 of a bridge 2. The rotor is retained in position by a locking, ring 11 which co-operates with the heads of the screws 8 and with the flange of a ring 12 pressed on or integral with the sleeve 3. A pin 13 is loosely mounted: in an eccentric bore of the shaft 6 and is retained by a tongue 16. The pin carries two identical pawls 14, 15 which are spring urged into engagement with the teeth of a ratchet wheel 17 of the winding train. Overwinding is prevented by connecting the ratchet 17, Fig. 4, to a co-axial pinion 17a by a friction clutch comprising a star-shaped spring 22 the tips of which co-operate with an internal flange of the ratchet 17.
