1386612 Spring-operated mechanism; metallic springs FISHER-KARPARK Ltd 5 March 1973 [28 Dec 1971] 60261/71 Heading F2S [Also in Division G3] In a winding drum for a clockwork mechanism for operating a car park meter, one end of a main spring a is attached to a spindle B (which extends along the axis of the winding drum) by a slot a<1> receiving a pin b<1> on the spindle, the pin being rotatable to swing an elongated head b<2> through 90 degrees; the other end of the spring a is attached to a tag on the drum. The slot a<1> may be pear-shaped.
