Abstract

The end coupling is used for a spiral spring (11) in a timepiece mechanism, or measuring instrument, to provide a linear relationship between the spring couple and the angular moment acting on the spring (11). The external coil of the spring (11) is extended by a Philips curve (13) which is formed independently from the spring (11) and which is located in a different plane. One end (4) of the curve (13) is fitted to the end of the spiral spring (11), with the other end (13) fixed so as to fulfill the Philips parameters. Pref. the end of the curve (13) is fixed to the end of the spiral spring (11) via fixing pin.
