Abstract
258,531. Soc. Anon. le Coultre et Cie. Nov. 25, 1925, [Convention date]. Keyless mechanism which comprises a winding stem 10 arranged radially and in a parallel plane to the movement plate 11, the stem carrying a single pinion 17 - rigid therewith and sliding axially to engage a crown-wheel 18 for winding or an intermediate wheel (not shown) for timesetting, is provided with means for holding the stem in either of its set positions comprising a sliding member 14 which is impelled by a spring 13 attached to a plate 12 on the movement plate 11 and which is adapted to coact with grooves 15 or 16 in the stem 10 according as the stem is set for winding or time-setting respectively. A member 20, pivoted at 21 coaxially with a pawl 27 of the winding mechanism, carries a spring 30 which bears against a pin 28 on the pawl 27, this pin passing through a hole 29 in the movement plate and bearing against the member 20. When winding takes place the part 27 rocks clockwise, Fig. 1, and the pin 28 raises the member 20 so that the latter enters a cutaway part 31, Fig. 2, of the spring 13 and abuts the end of the sliding member 14, preventing the latter from leaving the groove 15 during winding.
