Abstract
547,918. Actuating reciprocating pumps. BAMFORD, C. J., BAMFORD, J. C., and BAMFORD, H. V. April 2, 1941, No. 4406. [Class 102 (i)] [Also in Group XXVII] In a two-stroke engine a single cam 22 on the crank shaft actuates an inlet or exhaust valve through a. push rod 13, and also the fuelinjection pump 10 through a lever 17, and/or the oil pump 19 through a lever 20. The lever 17 may be eccentrically mounted for adjustment of the timing of the fuel-injection pump. In a modification both pumps are actuated from the cam 22 through a single lever.
