Abstract

662,172. Valve gear. LIST, H. March 11, 1949 [April 7, 1948], No. 6705/49. Classes 7(ii), 7(iii) and 7(vi) A single rotating cam 4 actuating both inlet and exhaust valves through rockers 9 and tappets 8 also actuates a fuel injection pump 12 through a tappet 11. A gear wheel 5 on the cam shaft 4<SP>1</SP>, is driven by a gear wheel 7 on the crankshaft -and also drives a gear wheel 16 which actuates a centrifugal governor situated in the crank chamber and connected to the fuel pump control rod through links 18, 20. The rockers 9 are mounted on a casting 1 bolted to the engine casing.
