Abstract

547,338. Cans &c. CROWN CORK & SEAL CO,, Inc. Feb. 21, 1941, No. 2412. Convention date, March 7, 1940. Addition to 529,994. [Class 66] : A sheet-metal container is provided with an integral or attached cup-shaped portion 18 extending into the neck 12 in contact with the inner wall thereof and formed with a severable bottom portion 13. For re-sealing a cork or plug stopper 20 or a' crown cork engaging the bead 33 is employed. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 describes the alternative construction shown in Fig. 5 (Cancelled) in which the cupshaped portion is spaced from the wall 12 of the neck and the bead 41 is afforded by a circumferential indentation 40 in the neck. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
