546,944. Underfeed stokers for boilers. QUEENSMERE PROPERTIES & INVESTMENTS, Ltd., and CROOK, C. April 30, 1941, No. 5636. [Class 51 (i)] Fuel is fed to the lower part of a retort D at the front of a fire tube or flue boiler from a hopper or bunker at the back of the boiler by a worm or screw conveyer F. The electric motor driving the conveyer F also drives a fan K supplying air through a duct L surrounding the conveyer casing G to-tuyeres E in the upper part of the retort D.
