Abstract

649,382. Hot-water boilers. TURTON, A., and WARREN, E. July 5, 1948, No. 17965. [Class 64(i)] [Also in Group XI] A hot-water boiler is provided with a stationary conical or pyramidal grate with apex uppermost arranged and supported within an aperture of a firebrick, the sides of the aperture being substantially vertical (see Group XI). Ar annular water boiler 14 is arranged in the firespace above the grate 3, fuel being fed to the grate through the boiler 14 by a hopper 13. The firespace above the grate is provided with a liner 18, flues 20 being left between it and the boiler 14, and the space between the liner 18 and the outer casing 21 of the stove is filled with insulating material.
