893,183. Solid fuel boiler furnaces. GUILLOT, P. May 27, 1960 [May 28, 1959], No. 18904/60. Class 51 (1). In a solid fuel boiler, fuel fed from a hopper 1 by feed screws 2 is partly burnt and agglutinated on a first grate 3, and falls from the end of the grate 3 to a lower grate 4, to burn in a deep bed confined by a water space 6 depending from the the rear of the grate 3. Air is supplied at 3a below the first grate 3, at 5a and 5b above and below the grate 4, and at 12 above the fuel bed. A baffle 13 aids the complete combustion of gases rising from the fuel, and a clinker pusher 9 cleans the grate 4.
