Abstract
720,715. Pulverulent-fuel furnaces. STAMICARBON N. V. Feb. 16, 1953, [Feb. 19, 1952.] No. 4283/53. Class 51 (1). Pulverulent fuel is continuously supplied to a fluid-bed reactor 4 in which the fuel is partly burnt at a temperature of from 600‹-1,000‹ C., fuel from the bed being continuously withdrawn and fed to a combustion chamber 1, where combustion is completed. Air is supplied from pipe 5 to the chamber 4 and from pipe 7 to the chamber 1. Combustion gases from the chamber 4 are fed through pipe 8 to the chamber 1, which is provided with an ash discharge opening 11.
