[Class 38 (i)] A fuse cartridge of the type in which end caps are secured to a glass or porcelain tube by melting a pellet of solder within each cap is simplified by the use of a high melting-point solder which adheres to the plain ends of the tube and does not necessitate reducing or shaping of the ends to key with the solder as has hitherto been done. A suitable solder is a tin-antimony alloy or a silver-lead alloy.
