[Class 38 (i).] The porcelain or like body a of a cartridge-type fuse is made with one or more longitudinal grooves b into which parts of the end caps c, c<1> can fit or be depressed. The fuse wire w runs between a hole in a central depression in the cap c and a washer f to which the cap c<1> can be secured by solder passing through holes j. Solder also secures the wire wand cement, introduced between the body a and the caps, renders the fuse watertight.
