Abstract

573,280. Fusible cut-outs. BELLING & LEE, Ltd., and HEATH, C. W. Nov. 26, 1943, No. 19789. [Class 38 (i)] [Also in Group II] The end caps 3 of a cartridge fuse are secured to the plain ended glass or porcelain tube 1 by pellets 4 of low melting point solder possessing the property of expanding on cooling due to the inclusion of a suitable metallic ingredient, e.g. bismuth, the fusible element 2 being secured inside the caps by initially bending it round the outer ends of the tube. Specification 545,745 is referred to.
