Abstract

545,615. Turret tool-holders. JAMES, W. April 1, 1941, No. 4343. [Class 83 (iii)] A multiple tool holder for a lathe comprises a head 2 adapted to receive a number of tools 6 and a supporting shank 1 the head being adjustable about a stem portion 3 for selectively positioning the tools and being further adjustable by means of an eccentric bush 5 for the fine setting of the selected tool. The parts are secured by a nut 4. The bush is adjusted by a knurled portion 5a and has teeth 5c coacting with serrations on the shank portion. The head is also locked to the bush by coating serrations 5d. The tools are secured in radial holes in the head by grub screws.
