540,835. Weighing-apparatus. BERKEL AUTO SCALE CO., Ltd. (Maatschappij van Berkel's Patent N. V.). April 30, 1940, No. 7704. [Class 143] In a weighing- apparatus the platform unit 1, 2, 2a is maintained with its centre of gravity in front of its knife-edged support 7, 19 upon th lever system 8, 9, by means of a second oppositelydirected knife - edged bearing 7a, 20 which prevents tilting in the direction of the arrows shown in Fig. 3. The weighing levers 8, 9 are prevented from lateral tilting due to the off-set position of the platform, by the provision of oppositely-directed knife-edges 11, 11a at their fulcra.
